Warriors outswim Lake-Lehman

The Elk Lake boys’ and girls’ swimming and diving teams picked up victories over Lake-Lehman at home on Tuesday evening.

Elk Lake’s boys took an 89-34 win, while the girls picked up a 100-66 victory.

The boys’ team was led by Cody Mowry who placed first in two individual events and was part of the first place 200 free relay team while the girls team had nine first place finishes on the night.

First place finishes for the girls’ team came from Rina Nikolaidis in the 200 at 2:24.98, Abby Zdancewicz in the 200 IM at 2:35.06, Chelsea Karabin in the 50 free at 26.87 and 100 free at 1:00.32, Heather Wimmer in diving and in the 500 free at 7:02.01, Rachel Grosvenor in the 100 fly at 1:19.90, the 200 free relay team of Nikolaidis, Emmie Gibson, Zdancewicz and Karabin at 1:51.16 and the 400 free relay

team of Bre Hollenbeck, Anna Hammernick, Grosvenor and Hannah Cave at 4:47.16.

Seconds came from, the 200 medley relay team, Cave (200 free), Gibson (50 free), Griffiths (100 fly), Hamernick (100 free), Farnelli 9100 breast).

Thirds were recorded by Griffiths (200 IM), Hollenbeck (100 free) and Cave (500 free).

First place finishes on the boys’ side came from the 200 medley relay team of Justin Parrish, Chris Jordan, Brad Grosvenor and John Krieg, Adam Phillips in the 200 free at 1:52.03, Grosvenor in the 200 IM at 2:41.75, Cody Mowry in the 50 free at 25.12 and 100 free at 58.56, Dylan Simmons in diving, Matt Sterner in the 500 free at 7:15.70 and the 200 free relay team of Phillips, Kreig, Mowry and Manzek at 1:40.79.

Seconds were recorded by Krieg (100 and 200 free), Parrish (200 IM), Manzek (50 free) and Grosvenor (100 fly).

Thirds came from Sterner (100 fly) and Malloy (500 free).
