Little League season winding down
A number of Little League teams from across Susquehanna County continued in All-Star action in District 15.
On Wednesday, the Blue Ridge 9-10 boys’ All-Stars took a 7-6 victory over Towanda in the Joe Shaw Memorial Tournament. However, they lost to RTL, 19-4, at home on Friday in an elimination game.
The Blue Ridge Major boys’ All-Stars beat RTL, 10-4, at Wyalusing on Thursday in the Daniel Aquilio Memorial Tournament.
On Monday Blue Ridge traveled to South Tioga where they were handed a 9-2 loss to enter the consolation bracket where they will face off at home against RTL on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
On Tuesday, the SuscoEast Major boys All-Stars hosted Montrose at Clifford in the Daniel Aquilio Memorial Tournament. SuscoEast took an 8-7 loss in the elimination game.
On Tuesday, the Montrose Major boys All-Stars forged ahead in the Daniel Aquilio Memorial Tournament as they defeated SuscoEast in Clifford, 8-7. They beat Towanda, 6-5, on Thursday.
On Saturday, they played at RTL and faced a 7-3 loss in an elimination game to end their season.
The Susquehanna County 10-11 boys hosted Athens at Lawton on Tuesday and picked up a 9-6 win, but lost to Potter McKean, 20-0, on Thursday to complete pool play
They opened championship tournament play at Athens on Saturday, facing a 14-4 loss to be sent to the consolation bracket where the team squared off against Wellsboro on Monday night.
Susquehanna County took a victory over Wellsboro, 15-5, on Monday evening to move on in consolation play, where the team will play at Athens on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
