Meteor tennis splits on courts

The Montrose Area girls’ tennis team faced a 4-1 loss at home on Wednesday to Mid Valley and took a 4-1 victory overDunmoreat home on Tuesday.

Against Mid Valley in singles, Megan Hinds (M) over Marisa Troiani, 6-1, 6-0; Julie May (MV) over Gracee Rose, 6-2, 6-4; Vicky Maza (MV) over Ceara Hartman, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4).

In doubles, Jessie Brudnicki-Delaney Reynolds (MV) over Anna Ruseski-JenReed, 6-2, 6-2; Maria Berg-Taylir Evans (MV) over Holly Andre-Lizzy Escobar, 6-2, 7-5.

On Tuesday in singles, Maria Notarianni (D) over Hinds, 6-0, 6-1; Rose (M) over Abigail Aronica, 6-3, 6-4; Hartman (M) over Elizabeth Padula, 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles, Ruseski-Reed (M) over Anna Notchick-Brittany Schlesser, 6-2, 6-4; Andre-Escobar (M) over Casey Farris-Tess Maher, 6-2, 6-2.

Montrose’s record now stands at 3-4 on the season.
