Foresters win twice with help from Goben

Forest City’s Megan Goben scored two goals in a 7-1 Forester win at home against Mid Valley on Thursday, a day after she scored a first half goal at Montrose on Wednesday night to lift the Foresters over the Meteors, 1-0.

Against Mid Valley, Goben scored a pair of consecutive goals in the first half before giving way to teammates Kylie Borick, Katherine Pecko, Samantha Carey, Michaela Konzman and Mackenzie Keller, who each had goals in the contest.

Chipping in with assists were Taylor-Ray Tammero, Borick, Pecko and Keller.

The Foresters took 36 shots on goal with four corners while Borick had one save on goal.

On Wednesday, Goben scored for the Foresters at 24:19 while Forest City had 20 shots on goal and four corners throughout the contest.

Goalie Kaylie Gigliotti had three saves on the day.

For Montrose, the Meteors had six shots on goal and two corners while goalie Anna Churco notched 19 saves in the contest.

Forest City is now 8-2 on the year while Montrose fell to 6-4.
