Eagles get past Abington

TheMountain Viewboys’ soccer team took a 3-1 win overAbingtonHeightsin Kingsley on Wednesday in a Division I showdown.

Mountain Viewhanded the Comets their first loss of the season as they came back from a 1-0 deficit in the first half.

Joe Jarrow evened up the score at 38:32 in the first half before Colby Thomas would score off an assist from Zeb Cross early in the second half to take the 2-1 lead.

Cross then connected on a goal of his own with an assist from Jarrow to put the Eagles up 3-1.

Mountain Viewhad 15 shots on goal and three corners while goalie Bobby Pfahl had seven saves on the day. The Eagles improved to 12-2 on the year.

Elk Lake

TheElkLakeboys’ soccer team picked up a 5-3 victory overWestern Wayneon the road on Tuesday afternoon.

Matt Cuomo scored a hat trick for the Warriors while Tyler Arnold added a goal and an assist and Alex Manzek found the net to leadElkLake.

The Warriors had 11 shots on goal with four corner kicks while goalie Nick Dudock had 10 saves on the day.

ElkLakeis now 6-6 on the season.
