Lady Warriors top Susquehanna

The Elk Lake girls’ volleyball team took its third win of the season on Tuesday night with a 3-2 triumph in Dimock over Susquehanna.

The Warriors defeated the Sabers 25-23, 12-25, 11-25, 25-20 and 15-10 to improved to 3-9 on the year.

Katie VanEtten had 10 assists, four digs and one kill and Carley Bennett had five kills, three aces and 19 points to lead the Warriors. Kelsey Caines added four kills and one block forElkLake.

Pacing Susquehanna was Danielle Barnes with nine kills and 22 points while Alexis Roe had five kills.

Montrose

The Montrose Area girls’ volleyball team took its second win of the season as the Meteors overtookMountain View, 3-0, on Tuesday evening.

The Lady Meteors (2-6, 2-11) took downMountain View(4-3, 6-6) in three straight sets, 25-22, 25-18, 25-16.

Montrose was paced by Dallas Ely with seven kills and 14 digs, Katie Volk with five kills and 10 aces and Miranda Dunne with 10 assists, five digs and one ace.

The Eagles were led by Melissa Monahan with five kills and Sarah Nichols with three kills.

Blue Ridge

TheBlue Ridgegirls’ volleyball team handed Susquehanna a 3-2 loss on the road on Thursday evening.

The Raiders topped the Sabers in five sets, 25-12, 13-25, 25-21, 18-25 and 16-14 to take the victory.

ForBlue Ridge, Ashley Warren had 19 assists, two aces and four kills and Kailey Ragard had 14 digs, two blocks and 11 kills for the Raiders.

Allison Coller added three kills, 10 digs and two aces, and Kristen Brown had five kills, two aces and six digs for the Lady Raiders.

Courtney Arthur had 10 kills and 15 digs, Mary Kemmerer had six kills and Emily Conroy had 12 assists and two digs for Susquehanna.

Mountain View

Mountain View’s girls’ volleyball team handedElkLakea 3-2 loss in a match held in Kingsley on Thursday evening.

The Lady Eagles defeated the Warriors in five sets, 18-25, 25-13, 16-25, 25-18 and 15-11 to improve to 7-6 overall on the season.

Melissa Monahan had 11 kills, five digs and three blocks and Sarah Nichols had three kills, two aces and four digs to lead the winners.

Taylor Nally had 12 assists and six aces and Angel Kester had four kills for the Lady Eagles.

Kati VanEtten had one kill, 11 assists and two digs, Susanne Tewksberry had two kills, eight assists and three digs, Carley Bennett had four kills, six digs and 15 aces and Michaela Boner had eight kills and two aces forElkLake.
