Meteor hockey faces loss

The Montrose Area field hockey team took a 4-1 loss at Northwest Area on Tuesday evening.

The Meteors fell behind 2-0 after the first half, and after Northwest scored with 8:55 left in the second half, Montrose was at a 3-0 deficit.

However, Maria Phillips got Montrose on the board with a goal at 6:47, but it wasn’t enough as the Rangers struck one more time to end the contest.

Montrose had two shots on goal and seven corners while Montrose goalie Taylor Wright had 15 saves in the contest.
