Interfaith hosts Thanksgiving dinner

MayBelle Golis, Rosemary Golis and Interfaith Director Rachel Pratt lead the singing at the annual Thanksgiving dinner hosted by Interfaith.

Residents of area personal care homes and clients of local human service agencies gathered Thursday to celebrate Thanksgiving with Susquehanna County Interfaith.

Interfaith Executive Director Rachel Pratt said, “It’s wonderful to be able to celebrate this holiday together, to come together as a group.”

The annual dinner was held at the Montrose Bible Conference and was attended by about 80 people.

Before the turkey and trimmings were served, Rosemary and MayBelle Golis were joined by Pratt in the singing of some holiday music with the guests. Peggy Wood was the accompanist.

Tim Wymbs offered the meal’s blessing.

Each year, Interfaith invites area personal care home residents and people involved with NHS Human Services, Community Options and Step-By-Step Supportive Living to join in the holiday dinner.
