Mitchell named MAHS Athlete of the Week

Isaac Mitchell has been on the Montrose Boys Tennis Team for four years. The past three years he has played on the #1 Doubles team, two years with fellow Senior Chris Jordan and this year with Junior Sean Regan. In the past three years Isaac has amassed a record of 30 wins and 5 losses.

For the third year in a row, he is being named the Team’s Most Valuable Player.

The Doubles team of Jordan and Mitchell was reunited this week for the District Doubles Championships and they did not disappoint. Despite not having played together this season, the two defeated two very strong teams only to lose to the eventual District Champions in the Quarterfinals.

Mitchell is not only a great player but a positive influence on his entire team. His attitude is always positive, in practice and in matches and his experience in doubles has earned him the respect of his fellow players.

He is the Doubles teams’ mentor for each of the other players, allowing them to have an on-court coach both in matches and practices. His natural athletic ability, his desire to constantly improve and his consistently positive attitude makes him a formidable opponent as well as a pleasure to coach.
