Jack Kane, 87, of Susquehanna, a Private in the 6th Infantry during World War II spoke about his experiences during the war at Old Mill Village WWII Living History on Saturday.

Kane was 19 years old when he was deployed as a replacement troop during theBattleof the Bulge and saw action inFrance,Luxemburg,BelgiumandGermany.

Part of General Patton’s Third Army, Kane took part in the liberation ofBuchenwald, a Nazi concentration camp in 1945. He said the troops present at the camp were gathered and told them to take note of what had happened there saying: “The day may come when some will deny this happened here.”
