Holmes pleaded guilty to one count of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, a Megan’s Law offense that carries a lifetime sexual offender registration requirement.

District Attorney Jason Legg said the plea agreement had been reached at the time of the preliminary hearing and both the victim and her mother were okay with the deal.

Holmes had faced other sexual assault charges, including rape, but those counts were dropped in exchange for the plea.

President Judge Kenneth Seamans ordered Holmes to undergo a hearing in front of the sexual offenders’ assessment board in order to determine whether he is a sexually violent predator.

That hearing is to take place prior to Holmes’ sentencing, tentatively scheduled for Nov. 19 in Susquehanna County Court.
