Lady Eagles trounce Carbondale
The Mountain View girls’ soccer team picked up a 14-0 shutout victory over Carbondale on the road on Thursday.
Carley Weida had two goals and three assists and Hannah Richner had a hat trick to lead the Eagles.
Jenny Molenko also had a hat trick, while Stephanie Virbitsky, Megan Getz, Cheyenne Pfahl, Dedra Congdon and Jaye Winemiller all connected for goals for the Eagles.
Mountain View had 49 shots on goal and three corners while goalies Caity Tague and Hannah Phillips combined for one save.
The Montrose Area girls’ soccer team picked up an 8-0 victory over Carbondale at home on Saturday.
Sarah Lundy had a natural hat trick and Kassidi Ramirez added two goals. Hannah Dieck added a goal and an assist while Myra Lattimore and Kaylee Russell each assisted twice.
Montrose had 31 shots on goal and six corners while goalies Anna Churco and Myra Lattimore combined for zero saves.
The Elk Lake girls’ soccer team battled through two overtimes at Mid Valley on Thursday to a 0-0 tie with the Spartans.
The Warriors took 12 shots on goal with seven corners while Mid Valley had four shots on goal and two corners.
Elk Lake goalie Lindsey Dudock had three saves on the day, while Mid Valley’s Julianna Rinaldi had eight.
The Forest City girls’ soccer team took a 7-1 victory over Holy Cross at home on Saturday after the team was handed a 1-0 loss from Lakeland on the road on Thursday.
Against Holy Cross, Kyle Borick scored a hat trick and Meagan Goben added two goals and an assist to Carly Erdmann in a victory.
Forest City had 33 shots on goal and six corners while goalie Cassandra Bendyk had four saves.
On Thursday, Lakeland’s Janelle Bradley connected on a first half goal to put the Chiefs past Forest City.
Forest City took seven shots on goal and had two corners while goalie Kaylie Gigliotti had 14 saves on the day.
