Warrior boys top Blue Ridge, Forest City
The Elk Lake boys’ soccer team took a 3-1 win over Forest City at home on Thursday after a 7-0 victory over Blue Ridge in New Milford on Tuesday afternoon.
Against the Foresters, Tanner Reyan had two goals in the first half and Chris Cook picked up a second half goal to lift the Warriors.
Forest City’s lone goal came from Jake Fedak at 32:37 in the first half.
Elk Lake took 17 shots on goal and had three corners while goalie Nick Dudock picked up 11 saves.
Forest City took 20 shots on the goal and had nine corners while goalie Matt Hardman-Zimmerman picked up six saves.
On Tuesday, Alex Manzek scored a pair of goals and Tanner Reyan had a goal and an assist to lead the Warriors.
Cody Fenton, Matt Hugaboom, Bailey Tyler and Chris Cook also found the net for Elk Lake in the victory.
Elk Lake took 29 shots on goal with no corners while goalie Nick Dudock picked up seven saves.
Blue Ridge goalie Dan Braun had 22 saves for the Raider, while the offense took seven shots on goal.
The Montrose Area boys’ soccer team took a 7-0 shutout victory over Blue Ridge on Raider territory on Thursday.
Joe Zuber scored two first-half goals while Mat Lewis, Zach Myer, Troy Ely and Tanner Frystack each found the net in a Meteor victory.
Montrose took 24 shots on goal and had seven corners while Justin Hartman picked up six saves.
Blue Ridge took six shots and had one corners while goalie Shawn Woodruff had 22 saves on the day.
The Mountain View boys’ soccer team grabbed an 11-0 win over Riverside on the road Thursday after taking a 13-0 victory over Mid Valley on the road on Tuesday.
Against Riverside, Zeb Cross had three goals and two assists for the Eagles while Colby Thomas had a pair of goals and Dylan Thomas also scored two.
Chris White, Ed Bognatz, Nathan Goodenough and Noah Pepper each scored in the Eagle win.
Mountain View took 36 shots on goal with six corners while goalie Matt Heller had one save.
On Tuesday, Mountain View’s Colby Thomas had five goals and one assist while Dylan Thomas had a hat trick and Zeb Cross, James Goodenough, Zeb Cross and Ed Bognatz each scored.
