Marino closes Tunkhannock office
BY ROBERT L. BAKER
The regional office that Congressman Tom Marino opened in Tunkhannock two years ago, closed its door to the public Friday.
Chief of Staff Bill Tighe said the move was “so that our staff can prepare to move to our new location in Hamlin, Wayne County.”
Tighe noted that constituents could still still reach Marino’s staff at 836-8020 until their office in Hamlin opens on March 1.
Tighe said, “Unfortunately, due to redistricting Wyoming County moves from PA-10 to PA-11 so our office must move with the district. On behalf of the Congressman and our entire staff, we want to thank the Tunkhannock community and all of Wyoming County for its hospitality over the past two years. We greatly enjoyed our time in Tunkhannock and we will truly miss representing the people of Wyoming County in Congress.”
After the first of the year. Wyoming County will be in Congressman Lou Barletta’s Eleventh District with an office at at 1 South Church Street, Suite 100, Hazleton. The phone number is 751-0050, and his Washington office number is 202-225-6511 or toll-free at 855-241-5144.
On Wednesday, Rep. Barletta announced he would also have district offices opening the week of Jan. 3 in Carlisle in Cumberland County; Lower Paxton Twp. (near Harrisburg) in Dauphin County; and Sunbury in Northumberland County.
