PFBC 2013 trout stocking schedule announced

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission recently released the 2013 adult trout stocking schedule for Susquehanna County waters.

Waters listed are all Commonwealth Inland Waters except for special designations: Quaker Lake is designated at Early Season Trout- Stocked Waters Program, and Salt Lick Creek, from 80 meters downstream from Beaver Creek to downstream State Game Lands #35 boundary, is delayed harvest artificial lures only.

Stocking schedule:
Canawacta Creek, from East Bridge and South Bridge Canawacta Confluence to the mouth, will be stocked with brown and rainbow trout on March 11. Meet at Lanesboro Post Office along Route 171 at 1:15 p.m.
East Branch Tunkhannock Creek, from State Route 2027 Bridge to State Route 374 Bridge nearest the mouth, will be stocked with brook and brown trout on April 8 and with brown and rainbow trout on May 3. Meet off exit 206 off Interstate 81 at 12:45 p.m. on April 8. Meet off new exit 201 of Interstate 81 at 1 p.m. on May 3.
East Branch Wyalusing Creek, from Forest Lake and Fairdale Road to the mouth, will be stocked with brook and brown trout on April 1 and with brown and rainbow trout on April 25. Meet at large pull off at the intersection of Routes 706 and SR 3029, both days at 1 p.m.
Fall Brook, from Route 167 bridge at Fisk Mill to upstream boundary of Salt Springs State Park, will be stocked with brown and rainbow trout on April 8. Meet at Emberz Restaurant parking lot, in Montrose, at 1 p.m.
Fall Brook, from the upstream boundary of Salt Springs State Park to the mouth, will be stocked with brown and rainbow trout on April 8 and April 23. Meet at Emberz Restaurant parking lot, in Montrose, at 1 p.m. on April 8 and meet at Quaker Lake off State Route 167 at 1 p.m. on April 23.
Gaylord Creek, from the Bradford/Susquehanna County line to the mouth, will be stocked with brook and brown trout on April 17. Meet at large pull off at the intersection of Routes 706 and SR 3029, at 1 p.m.
Horton Creek, from Village Pine Grove (State Route 3023) to the mouth, will be stocked with rainbow trout on April 18. Meet at Franco’s Auto, Route 11, in Hop Bottom, at 1:30 p.m.
Lackawanna River, from Old Stillwater Dam to upstream Carbondale City line, will be stocked with rainbow trout on Apr. 9 and with brown and rainbow trout on May 1. Meet at Vision 2000 Industrial Park along Route 247, in Forest City, at 12:30 p.m. on Apr. 9 and 1 p.m. on May 1.
Martins Creek, from State Route 167 bridge to the mouth, will be stocked with brook and brown trout on April 10 and with brown and rainbow trout on April 18. Meet at large pull on the left of Route 107 east, 2/10 of a mile from Route 6 on April 10 at 1 p.m. and at Franco’s Auto, Route 11, in Hop Bottom, at 1:30 p.m. on April 18.
Meshoppen Creek, from West Nicholson Road (State Route 3017) to Route 29, will be stocked with brown and rainbow trout on April 8 and April 25. Meet at Young’s Diner, along Route 6, in Meshoppen, at 1 p.m. both days.
North Branch Wyalusing Creek, from first major tributary above Gaylord Creek to the mouth, will be stocked with brook and brown trout on April 1 and with brown and rainbow trout on April 17. Meet at large pull off at the intersection of Routes 706 and SR 3029, at 1 p.m. both days.
Quaker Lake, will be stocked with rainbow trout on April 3 and April 23. Meet at Quaker Lake, off Route 167, at 1 p.m. both days.
Riley Creek, from Singer Road (Township Route 309) to the mouth, will be stocked with rainbow trout on April 25. Meet at Young’s Diner along Route 6, in Meshoppen, at 1 p.m.
Salt Lick Creek, from Johnson Street in New Milford to 80 meters downstream from Beaver Creek, will be stocked on Mar. 28 with brook and brown trout. Meet at Trail Diner, Route 11 north of New Milford at 1 p.m.
Salt Lick Creek, from 80 meters downstream from Beaver Creek to downstream from State Game Lands #35 boundary will be stocked with brook and brown trout on Mar. 28 and with brown and rainbow trout on May 7. Meet at Trail Diner, Route 11, north of New Milford, at 1 p.m. both days.

Snake Creek, from Booth Road (Township Route 764) to the state line, will be stocked with brook and brown trout on March 26 and May 7. Meet at Emberz Restaurant parking lot, in Montrose, at 1 p.m. on Mar. 26 and at Trail Diner, Route 11, north of New Milford, at 1 p.m. on May 7.
South Branch Canawacta Creek, from State Route 1007 to the mouth, was stocked with brown and rainbow trout on March 11.
Starrucca Creek, from Stevens Point to the mouth, was stocked with brown and rainbow trout on March 11 and will be stocked with brown and rainbow trout on April 15. Meet at Lanesboro Post Office, off Route 171, at 1:30 p.m. on Apr. 15.

West Branch Meshoppen Creek, from State Route 3004 at Risley Road to the mouth, will be stocked with brown and rainbow trout on April 8 and April 25. Meet at Young’s Diner along Route 6, in Meshoppen, at 1 p.m. both days.
