Foresters knock Elk Lake
The Foresters and Warriors were deadlocked at two after the first inning, but Forest City added a run in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to take home the victory.
Matt Hartman went three-for-three with two doubles and an RBI and Dylan O’Dell drove in two runs to lead the Foresters. Alex Kresock also doubled for the Foresters.
Kowaleski took the pitching win giving up five hits, one earned run and two walks while striking out a pair in a complete-game outing.
Elk Lake’s Damian Dailey doubled and drove in a run while Nick Dudock, Domasawicz, Ty Moon and Tyler each added a hit.
Moon took he pitching loss giving up three hits, three earned runs and a walk while striking out two in three innings.
The Susquehanna baseball team was handed an 8-0 loss by Old Forge in a Lackawanna League Division III-IV crossover game played at the newly renovated PNC Field as part of the Bill Howerton Strike Out Cancer weekend.
The Sabers fell behind with Old Forge scored two runs in the first and one in the second to grab a 3-0 lead. Old Forge then scored five more runs in the fourth inning to take an 8-0 lead.
The Blue Devils completed the shutout allowing just one Susquehanna hit, a looping single off the bat of Susquehanna pitcher Christian Miller.
Susquehanna’s Miller took the pitching loss giving up six hits, six earned runs and four walks while striking out one in three-and-a-third innings of work.
