EMBA members hear about planned Fun Day

Members of the Endless Mountains Business Association were given information at their March 26 meeting, held at the Green Gables, on a planned Community Fun Day on June 22.

It will be at the Hallstead ball field on Route 11. The Fun Day committee is in the process of arranging for a parade, food, entertainment, contests, children’s games and demonstrations.

Committee members are: April Mroz, Alice Deutsch, Suzanne Cobb, Roxanne Connelly, Sharon Kinsley and Seth Canfield.

The business highlighted at the EMBA March meeting was EMB Embroidery & Design with Garry Boccafogli as the speaker, presenter. Boccafogli brought samples of their finished products, including articles of clothing and items bearing logos of local businesses and messages appropriate for any occasion. The speaker explained the process used and how it worked on different materials.

Boccafogli was not the planned business presenter for this meeting but kindly agreed to fill in for the scheduled business owner who was not able to attend.

President Ethel Boccafogli presided over the business meeting. Secretary Marilyn Haskins agreed to store the records of the former Chamber of Commerce, previously stored in the Lempke barn in New Milford. Other officers are: vice president Janelle Fox and treasurer Kimberly Smith.BY HELEN B. FOSTER
