BR board sets management team pay

Salaries for members of the Blue Ridge management team were set by the school board at the Monday, May 6 meeting.

Salaries were set for the 2012-13; 2013-14; and 2014-15 school years.

In the coming term, the salaries for the school principals will see just under a $2,000 increase from the current year’s pay of $83,601 to $85,273 for the elementary position and $84,611 to $86,303 for the high school position. A small increase was also set for the 2014-15 school year.

Other administrator salaries set for the coming year were: Special Education Coordinator, $69,186; School Psychologist, $55,188; Food Service Director, $53,550; Network/Systems Coordinator, $61,200; and District Maintenance Supervisor, $61,200.

Joseph Conigliaro was appointed to serve as the Assistant PK-12 Principal, effective, July 1, 2013. The salary for that position was also set as part of the management team at $62,000.

Board member Harold Empett was reelected to serve as the board treasurer for the 2013-14 term.

The board accepted, with regret, a letter of intent to retire, effective June 7, from Custodian Gayle Reggie.

The board also approved summer work hours for several district employees.

The continuation of the Summer Food Service Program through the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture was approved by the board.

The summer food service program provides free breakfast and lunch in the school cafeteria to children, 18 and under.

Craige’s Photique was selected as the school photographer for the upcoming year.

The board also selected a proposal from Golden Oaks Golf Course, Windsor, N.Y., for the 2013-14 golf season.
