Following the Home Town Days parade on Friday evening, Aug. 9, Susquehanna Fire Department honored those members recognized as Lifetime Members.

Two of the younger members, Alex Mazikewich and John Herbert, researched the fire company archives and compiled the list of members serving the Susquehanna Fire Department for 25 years or more.

The task undertaken by Mazikewich and Herbert was not an easy one as the records of two fire companies had to be researched. Chemical Engine Company and Erie Hose Company joined to make the present company thus two sets of membership books.

Members present to receive their honor were: Joseph Adornato (28 years, still active); John Ball (25 years, still active); Robert Burns, (48 years, still active); Terry Carpenter (43 years); Thomas Culnane (40 years); William Culnane (40 years); Eugene Delsandro (39 years, still active); Ron Dubas (25 years); Chuck Glidden (48 years); David Glidden (28 years, still active); Steve Glover (43 years); Robert Hall (35 years, still active); Richard Hennessey (43 years, still active); Chris Herbert (38 years, still active); Roger Holleran (43 years); Leonard Kello (60 years); Mike Keyes (42 years, still active); Stan Lindow (46 years); James Maby; William Mazikewich (43 years); Anthony Napolitano; David Passetti (29 years, still active); Richard Passetti; Robert Passetti; Jack Rood (39 years, still active); Joseph Schell (43 years, still active); Les Schell (71 years); and Gene Testa (58 years).

Members being recognized but not present on Saturday evening were: Douglas Arthur, (27 years); Thomas Culnane (40 years); Steve Glover (43 years); Todd Glover (26 years, still active); William Iveson Jr, (26 years, still active); Bill Kuiper (44 years); Robert McNamara; Timothy Orr; Robert Reddon (66 years); Mike Ryder (26 years); Damion Scales (29 years, still active); and David Scales (42 years).
