MV Eagles blank Raiders, Foresters
The Eagles won their match 5-0 at Blue Ridge Thursday and 10-0 at Forest City Tuesday.
Colby Thomas had two goals and an assist while Noah Pepper added a goal and assts against Blue Ridge.
Against Forest City, Thomas and Zeb Cross combined for five goals and four assists while Pepper scored two goals and an assist for Mountain View, who improved to 8-0 on the year.
Bobby Pfahl had six eight saves in the shutouts.
The Warriors won their home match 6-1 over Dunmore Tuesday but lost to Montrose 1-0 Thursday.
Against Dunmore, Tanner Ryan had a hat trick and Ben Woolcock and Bailey Newhart each chipped in a goal and an assist for Elk Lake, while Nick Dudock had six saves in the win.
Dudock had 11 saves in the loss to Montrose, which dropped the Warriors to 5-3-1 overall.
The Foresters beat Carbondale 5-3 Thursday after being held scoreless by Mountain View 10-0 at home Tuesday.
Alex Kresock had two goals and an assist while Ryan Long chipped in two goals in the win at Carbondale. Jordan Hicks had four saves in the win.
Hicks was also kept busy all game against Mountain View and had 19 saves for Forest City, who are now 4-4 overall.
The Raiders were shutout 5-0 by Mountain View at home Thursday and 7-0 by Holy Cross at home Tuesday and are now 3-6 on the season. Brad Palmatier had 13 and 12 saves in the losses.
The Meteors blanked Elk Lake 1-0 Thursday and handled Carbondale Area 10-1 at home Tuesday and improved their record to 6-2.
Kyle Watkins scored in the 12th minute for Montrose, while Justin Hartman had 14 saves in the net to earn the shutout.
Matt Lewis scored three consecutive goals for a hat trick and had an assist, Erik Burgh had two goals and Giovatti Amato had a goal and assist to lead Montrose.
Justin Hartman and Travis Birchard combined for six saves in the win.
