Man offers assault plea

An 85-year-old Montrose man pleaded guilty Friday to a misdemeanor indecent assault charge stemming from a July 2012 incident.

Dean Bollinger entered his plea before President Judge Kenneth Seamans.
According to District Attorney Jason Legg, there was no agreement as to the sentence Bollinger would receive.

However, the district attorney said, Bollinger has been held on bail in the Susquehanna County Correctional Facility since his arrest in 2012 and likely already served a minimum sentence on the charge.
Bollinger was also ordered to undergo a Megan’s Law evaluation prior to sentencing.

Legg said Bollinger’s health was a concern and both the Commonwealth, as well as Bollinger’s attorneys, would agree to a bail modification pending sentencing if a health facility was found to address his current health care needs.
