Woman posed as ‘children’s services’ investigator

A Springville resident discovered a woman standing in her kitchen of her Rt. 29 home and looking in the refrigerator on Monday afternoon, Jan. 27.

When the homeowner confronted the woman, police said the suspect identified herself as “Bridget” and claimed to be an employee of “children’s services” investigating an official children’s welfare complaint.

Police determined the woman was not an employee of a government or social services agency.

The woman was described as a white female, in her late 20s to early 30s, about 5’6” tall, medium build, with short black hair, a full face and with a pierced lip on the left side.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call PSP, Gibson at 570-465-3154. Tpr. Joseph Holland is investigating.
