Lady Meteors lock up Div. IV title

The Lady Meteors scored wins over Elk Lake and Mountain View last week, inching them into fifth in the rankings heading into the final week of the regular season.

The Montrose girls locked in the Division IV title Monday night with a win over Forest City.

At Elk Lake, Meghan Gilhool scored 14 points to lead Montrose in a Division IV matchup.

Myra Lattimore added 13 points, including two 3-pointers, for the Lady Meteors.

McKaela Perrot led Elk Lake with eight points.

Against Mountain View, Meghan Gilhool scored 21 points to lead Montrose to a 61-43 win over Mountain View in a Lackawanna League Division IV girls basketball game.

Myra Lattimore and Fallon Gurn each added 10 points for the Lady Meteors.
Makenna Whitaker scored a game-high 23 points to lead Mountain View.

Lakeland, 61
Blue Ridge, 13

At Lakeland, Kayla Agentowicz scored 13 points and Breann Clauss-Walton had a double-double to lead the Lady Chiefs to a Division III-IV crossover win.
Clauss-Walton finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and Mandy Jadick scored eight points.

Jenna Bennett led Blue Ridge with five points.

Elk Lake, 39

At Lackawanna Trail, Melissa Grimm scored 28 points to lead the Lady Lions to a Division IV win.

Casey Tyler led Elk Lake with 22 points.

Forest City, 49
Blue Ridge, 29

At Forest City, Cassandra Bendyk scored 15 points to lead the Lady Foresters.

Michaela Martines added 12 points for the winners.

Isabella Cosmello led Blue Ridge with 11 points.

Old Forge, 56
Susquehanna, 29
At Susquehanna, No. 3 Old Forge connected on 11 3-pointers in a Division III-IV crossover win.

Amber Dubanowitz and Sara Serfilippi each had six for Susquehanna.

Forest City, 59
Lack. Trail, 41

At Lackawanna Trail, Cassandra Bendyk scored 22 points to lead Forest City.
Carly Erdmann added 18 points for the Lady Foresters and Madison McGraw had 14 points.

Nicole Rosa and Melissa Grimm both scored 12 points for Lackawanna Trail.

Susquehanna, 63
Mt. View, 61

Gabby Cina scored on a put-back at the buzzer to give Susquehanna a 63-61 win over Mountain View in a Lackawanna League Division IV girls basketball game Saturday.

Amber Dubanowitz had 17 points, 16 rebounds and six steals for the Lady Sabers and Cina had 10 points.

Makenna Whitaker scored 26 points for Mountain View and Megan Getz had 15.
