Trecoske grand slam seals Meteor win

The Blue Ridge Lady Raiders softball team invaded Montrose Thursday, April 24, but was handed an 11-5 loss by the Lady Meteors.

For the Lady Meteors, Mayana Trecoske knocked out a grandslam homerun; Katie Warner also hit a homer. Alana Jerauld tripled and Anna Churco doubled.

Anna Churco, Katie Warner, Alana Jerauld, and Mayana Trecoske notched two hits.

Lacy Nealy went three for three in the batter’s box and scored two runs.
Other runs for the Lady Meteors were scored by Julia Amorino and Hailey Rapisardi.

Nealy pitched seven innings for Montrose – giving up 6 hits, 5 runs; 1 earned, no walks and 3 strikeouts.

Lady Raider Kristine Carlson tripled; and Rebekah Bayle went two for three in the batter’s box.

Runs were also scored for the Lady Raiders by Shania Yachymiak, Callie Wyatt, Mikaela Conrad, and Nicole Sherman.

Carlson pitched six innings for Blue Ridge. She gave up 14 hits, 11 runs; 10 earned, two walks, and had no strike outs.

In other softball action last week, Mountain View claimed wins over Blue Ridge and Elk Lake, while Susquehanna shut out Forest City.

At Blue Ridge, Megan Stenzhorn had three hits, including a home run, and six RBIs to lift Mountain View.
Winning pitcher Samantha Krisa had two hits and three RBIs and Ariana Gabriel had two hits and two RBIs for the Lady Eagles.
Rebekah Bayle drove in two runs for Blue Ridge.
The game called after four innings because of rain.

Mountain View, 7
Elk Lake, 6

At Mountain View, Makenna Whitaker drove in the eventual game-winning run with a two-out triple in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the Lady Eagles a Division IV win.
Cassie Kastawa drove in three runs and Jenny Molenko homered for the winners.
Lindsey Dudock had three hits, including a double, and two RBIs for Elk Lake.

Susquehanna, 10
Forest City, 0

At Susquehanna, Micaela Rhone tossed a two-hitter with nine strikeouts to lead the Lady Sabers.
Baily Barnes had two hits, two RBIs and scored three runs for the winners.
With the 10-run rule, the game ended after the top of the 6th.

Blue Ridge, 2

At Susquehanna, Nicole Shay had two hits, including a double, scored twice and drove one in to lead the Lady Sabers to a Division IV win.
Alyssa Hubal also had a double and an RBI for the winners.
Brooke Marvin had two hits for Blue Ridge.

Mountain View, 20
Forest City, 1

At Forest City, Ariana Gabriel hit a grand slam and Megan Getz had three hits, including a triple, and two RBIs to lead Mountain View.
Sarah Nichols had two hits, three RBIs and scored three runs for the Lady Eagles.
Game ended after fifth inning – 10 run rule.
