County BPW clubs install officers

The two Susquehanna County Business and Professional Women’s Club held their final 2013-2014 meetings in June with the installation of officers for the new club year that will begin in September 2014 and continue until June of 2015.

The Montrose Club has celebrated their 67th birthday and Susquehanna their 58th birthday.

Montrose BPW invited District Director Lori Hubal to be their installing officer. The new officers will be President Susan Gesford; Vice-President Jennifer Losier; Treasurer Joyce Rudzianski’; Secretary April Kirkpatrick and Parliamentarian Mary Evans.

The Nellie Jane DeWitt BPW, Susquehanna held their installation ceremony on June 26 with Helen Foster as the installing officer. The officers for 2014-2015 will be President Linda Bedford; Vice President Rachel Pulice; Secretary Gay Keyes and Treasurer Darlene Slocum; Parliamentarian Lori Hubal.

Both clubs support the Women’s Resource Center and recently the Susquehanna chapter has added Adult Literacy to their club projects. While Montrose makes donations to Interfaith and Girl Scouts, the Susquehanna Club donates to the Susquehanna Community Development Association (SCDA) for both Hometown Days and Breakfast with Santa.

Montrose and Nellie Jane DeWitt Clubs also award scholarships to graduating seniors.
